1. Local contraindication

The Preoperative Preparation for Implantation Surgery

  (2) Radiological examination: mainly to know the density and number of alveolar bone and whether they have disease or not.

  Spiral CT can help you know the alveolar bone height, width accurately, and locate exactly and do the preoperative surgery. The problem of the height of maxillary sinus and inferior alveolar nerve in the posterior areas of the implant area makes spiral CT examination necessary.
  (3) The design before implanting: In order to determine the type of repairing, implanting system, the number of implants, position, direction, length, the information, such as the photograph and the models, should be collected before implant operation. And then produce the template for plant operation use, so that the surgery can be done accurately and smoothly.
  (4) In order to inhibit the bacteria effectively, inject some antibiotics before surgery.

The process of the dental implantology operation

1. Make the implantology plan after sufficient preoperative oral examination and assessment of general health.
  2. Do the first buried implant surgery (artificial teeth) in the condition of local anesthesia, and then sutured mucosa.

How to keep maintenance after dental implantology surgery

  1. Do not brush or wash your mouth within 24 hours after surgery, because too frequent gargling can cause bleeding, but to prevent food debris left in the mouth, patients shall wash mouth with gargle after meal. 2 hours after surgery, moderate consumption of drinking is allowed, and food should not be hot.
  2. Routine use antibiotics after surgery. For simple implantology operation (a small number of implants, shorter operation time, and patient recovers soon), patients take oral antibiotics, but for the complex surgery, patients need intravenous antibiotics to prevent infection.
  3. Due to physical and surgical procedures different, patients may have different reactions, some have mild or no response, some will lead to local edema and petechiae, usually last for 3-5 days.
  4. Generally ,the patients have mild postoperative pain or discomfort, do not need to take painkillers, but if the patients are sensitive and feel more sensitive to pain, acesodyne should be taken after surgery on that day; under normal circumstances, patients no longer have sustained pain perception in 24 hours after surgery.
